This paper analyses the link between power and the educational relationship, starting from the tragedy of abuse within the Catholic Church. It demonstrates how sexual abuse is an epiphenomenon of an abuse of power and reflects on possible deviations that may occur in any pedagogical context. It proposes a critical vigilance on educational assymetry, the plurality of authority, and the construction of alliences to prevent new forms of abuse.
