Starting from a cross-reference in the Archives of the "Umberto Nobile" Documentation Center in Vigna di Valle and that one of the Holy House of Loreto, the contribution aims to shed light on the relation between Gen. Umberto Nobile and Mons. Aluigi Cossio, bishop of Loreto, at the time of the two transpolar flights of 1926 and 1928. The study, which is the result of a wider research carried out between Italy and Norway, is proposed on the occasion of the Lauretan Jubilee (1920-2020).
