Impresa pubblica e cooperazione allo sviluppo. Italia e Africa tra esperienza storica e attualità

In light of the teachings of the Magisterium on issues of development and international solidarity, the article outlines the essential characteristics and main economic, cultural and productive implications of the system of collaboration established in the decades following the Second World War by the Italian public companies IRI and ENI with African countries. Starting from the insights offered by historical experience, the article concludes with a reflection on the current state of Italy-Africa relations, marked by the implementation of the Mattei Plan.
