Recently, new research has been carried out on Roman artefacts from the ancient Roman town of Turris Libisonis, preserved in the Antiquarium Turritano in Porto Torres (Sassari, Sardinia). The aim of the research is to characterize the materials and pigments used for the archaeological finds. This paper presents some preliminary results of a study of fragments of unpublished Roman wall paintings dating from the 1st to the 3rd century AD.
