The postcolonial studies long tradition, together with a more recent field of research and practices connected to “new museology”, have contributed to the development of the debate around heritage decolonization which has strongly questioned the role and the language of the museum institution itself. Starting from listening to the reference territorial communities, such as the school, through the active and participatory experience, museum becomes a fundamental instrument for education of global citizenship.

Abstract
The postcolonial studies long tradition, together with a more recent field of research and practices connected to “new museology”, have contributed to the development of the debate around heritage decolonization which has strongly questioned the role and the language of the museum institution itself. Starting from listening to the reference territorial communities, such as the school, through the active and participatory experience, museum becomes a fundamental instrument for education of global citizenship.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
