The early prints of Carlo Maria Maggi's Rime varie are studied for the first time, presenting a selection of poems in vulgar arranged in a 'canzoniere'. After a look at the diffusion of manuscripts up to 1687, the collaboration with Segneri and Redi for the preparation of the Florentine princeps is reconstructed. The reprints released within a short period of time in 1688 are then investigated, tracing the author's careful and complex revision. Finally, some useful elements of comparison with the posthumous editions of Muratori and of the anonymous printer of 1700 are provided, preliminary to an in-depth analysis of the collections transmitted by manuscript codes.

Abstract
The early prints of Carlo Maria Maggi's Rime varie are studied for the first time, presenting a selection of poems in vulgar arranged in a 'canzoniere'. After a look at the diffusion of manuscripts up to 1687, the collaboration with Segneri and Redi for the preparation of the Florentine princeps is reconstructed. The reprints released within a short period of time in 1688 are then investigated, tracing the author's careful and complex revision. Finally, some useful elements of comparison with the posthumous editions of Muratori and of the anonymous printer of 1700 are provided, preliminary to an in-depth analysis of the collections transmitted by manuscript codes.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
