Emotions are foundational to cultural practices, shaping the ways communities create meaning. Emotions are seen as personal experiences but it’s important not to forget how they influence the dynamics of community participation. The circulation of emotions also poses challenges, as certain expressions may be misinterpreted (Kegyes, 2023). The climate change indeed reshapes the physical landscapes but also affects the emotional states. As people confront the impact of several disasters, a range of climate-related responses can emerge, as solastalgia, climate anxiety and so on. Starting from these considerations, this paper will explore a thematic initiative1 proposed by Bloeifilm, a Dutch activist film collective. The methodology employed includes a qualitative-quantitative analysis with a social listening tool, used to understand Dutch citizens’ online conversations on this topic. The social listening tool, provided by Blogmeter2 2 , will focus on the year 2023-2024 to capture the most recent opinions. Starting from these premises, this project aims to reflect on the possibilities of turning negative emotions into positive ones, further transforming them into concrete actions for the benefit of the Planet (Voşki, 2024).
