The chapter, following the analyses of previous years, offers a summary of the condition of students with a migrant background in the province of Brescia in 2021. Particularly, it aims to highlight persistent trends and variations, positive elements and critical aspects in the current scenario of multicultural schools and education in Brescia, with a special focus on the effect of pandemic in both attainment and achievement. It shows in more detail: number of migrant students (1st and 2nd generation) enrolled from kindergarten to upper secondary school, trend of incidence rates, foreign pupils’ outcomes in comparison with native students, learning loss as a consequence of school lockdown because of Corona pandemic, university students with a foreign origin. Different kinds of data are used, provided by MI (Ministry of Education), INVALSI (National Institute for the Educational Evaluation of Instruction and Training) and MUR (Ministry of University and Research), offering benchmarks among Italian and non-students students and comparing the case of Brescia to Lombardy and Italy as a whole.

Abstract
Different kinds of data are used, provided by MI (Ministry of Education), INVALSI (National Institute for the Educational Evaluation of Instruction and Training) and MUR (Ministry of University and Research), offering benchmarks among Italian and non-students students and comparing the case of Brescia to Lombardy and Italy as a whole.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
