The paper focuses on the concept of “limit” with particular regard to the current philosophical-legal debate. By distinguishing three meanings of “limit” (reduction, border and projection), the complex relation between the idea of “limit” and the law takes shape. More precisely, through the conceptual prism provided by this articulated notion of “limit” the modern theoretical pattern of law can be discussed. In this way, the contemporary transformation of law (i.e. of the legal theory) in techno-law involves the modification of the epistemological models.

Abstract
The paper focuses on the concept of “limit” with particular regard to the current philosophical-legal debate. By distinguishing three meanings of “limit” (reduction, border and projection), the complex relation between the idea of “limit” and the law takes shape. More precisely, through the conceptual prism provided by this articulated notion of “limit” the modern theoretical pattern of law can be discussed. In this way, the contemporary transformation of law (i.e. of the legal theory) in techno-law involves the modification of the epistemological models.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
