Alloimmune neonatal neutropenia (ANN) is usually an incidental finding however the disorder should be considered as a significant contributing factor to the onset of sepsis. Early diagnosis can limit further investigations and hospitalization of healthy infants while in infants with sepsis prompt adequate treatment including rHuG-CSF, may be instituted.
