The present article analyses those passages presenting quotations, that is references and hints to Is 6 in the field of the direct documentation on the II-III cent.a.C. Gnosticism. The analysis aims at proving how the anonymous authors of the here-considered Gnostic treatises used three sets of verses, that is Is 6,1-3; 6,5 and 6,9-11: according to a literal or rather allegorical interpretation they are functional to expresssome specific themes of the Gnostic ideology, mainly Valentinian and Sethian.
