The contribution intends to reflect on the different aspects that characterize documentation in early childhood starting from the experiences carried out in 2023 in LabZeroSei, a project created by the Municipality of Milan as a place of experimentation strongly connected with the municipal services dedicated to boys and girls between 0 and 6 years. During 2023, 354 workshops were held with children (N=3,612) and teachers (N=640), 495 workshops with families (2,313 children and 2,459 adults), as well as 8 training courses for pedagogical operators ( N=368) and 4 dedicated to parents (N=50). The numbers convey not only the quantitative breadth of the experience, but also the richness of the practices tested and the possibility of triggering updated reflections on the meaning and methods of pedagogical documentation in a data-driven era. The intervention will propose an insight into the results of the experimentation of the observational and documentary tools proposed within LabZeroSei (photographs, video recordings, photovoice, observational and reflective diaries, shared archives, padlets) starting from the evaluations of these tools collected through questionnaires and focus groups carried out with adults.

Il contributo intende riflettere sui differenti aspetti che caratterizzano la documentazione nella prima infanzia a partire dalle esperienze svolte nel 2023 nel LabZeroSei, un progetto realizzato dal Comune di Milano come luogo di sperimentazione collegato fortemente con i servizi comunali dedicati ai bambini e alle bambine tra 0 e 6 anni. Nel corso del 2023 sono stati realizzati 354 laboratori con i bambini e le bambine (N=3.612) e insegnanti (N=640), 495 laboratori con le famiglie (2.313 bambini e 2.459 adulti), oltre a 8 percorsi formativi per operatori pedagogici (N=368) e 4 dedicati a genitori (N=50). I numeri rendono non solo l’ampiezza quantitativa dell’esperienza, ma anche la ricchezza delle pratiche sperimentate e la possibilità di innescare riflessioni aggiornate sul senso e sui metodi della documentazione pedagogica in un’era datificata. L’intervento proporrà un affondo sugli esiti della sperimentazione degli strumenti osservativi e documentativi proposti all'interno del LabZeroSei (fotografie, videoregistrazioni, photovoice, diari osservativi e riflessivi, archivi condivisi, padlet) a partire dalle valutazioni su tali strumenti raccolte attraverso questionari e focus group svolti con gli adulti.
