The article focuses on linguistic markers of argumentation in Russian and on the cues they can provide for the reconstruction of standpoints and arguments in argumentative discourse. The analysis of the constitutive relations of argumentative discourse is carried out within the broader perspective of Congruity Theory, a semantic-pragmatic approach to text cohesion, which allows to identify the specific structure of argumentative speech acts. After a preliminary presentation of Congruity Theory in its main features, with a focus on the linguistic notion of connective, which allows to distinguish cohesion discourse relations at logical-semantic level from connectors, i. e. from their linguistic strategies of manifestation, particular attention is devoted to the characterization of argumentative connectives and to their abductive nature. Particularly interesting from a contrastive point of view is the argumentative connective of conclusion, whose linguistic markers in Russian, such as the modal discourse particle verojatno, are contrastively compared with the correspondent linguistic markers in Italian, where it is possible to have as connector the modal verbs dovere in its epistemic value. Some considerations are finally developed on possible implications of the notion of argumentative connective for a deeper insight into the individuation of the argumentative functions of Russian discourse particles in argumentative discourse.

Abstract
Some considerations are finally developed on possible implications of the notion of argumentative connective for a deeper insight into the individuation of the argumentative functions of Russian discourse particles in argumentative discourse.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
