La ricerca pedagogica: la narrazione come via di accesso ai saperi e alle esperienze delle famiglie adottive

The pedagogy of family has long been engaged in a study and analytical work that starts from the knowledge of the life contexts of today’s family. The paper aims to dwell on the relationship between theory and experience, starting from an experience of empirical research, based on the narrative inquiry, involving some adoptive parents, in order to deepen the theme of training support in the preadoption waiting period. Moving from the families’ knowledge and experience allows the researcher to increase the scientific discourse on the issues in question and, at the same time, the members of the domestic system to begin processes of reflexivity and transformative learning.

La pedagogia della famiglia è da tempo impegnata in un lavoro di studio e analisi che prende avvio dalla conoscenza concreta dei contesti di vita delle odierne compagini familiari. Il contributo intende indugiare sul rapporto fra teoria e esperienza, a partire da una ricerca empirica, fondata sul metodo narrativo, che ha coinvolto alcuni genitori adottivi nell’intento di approfondire la tematica dell’accompagnamento formativo nel periodo che precede l’adozione. Muovere dai saperi e dall’esperienza delle famiglie consente al ricercatore di accrescere il discorso scientifico sulle tematiche in oggetto e, al contempo, ai membri del sistema domestico di avviare processi di riflessività e apprendimento trasformativo
