In this study, we carried out experiments to evaluate the effect of resistance inducers (RIs) on downy mildew (DM). In a first experiment, we focused on the use of the RIs in a protection strategy based on the combination with copper-based products applied following the indications of the decision support system (DSS) vite.net® provided by Horta. In a second experiment, we studied the efficacy of resistance inducers in controlling DM following artificial inoculation of Plasmopara viticola at different timings after treatment.
