The history of the French vocabulary of electricity began in the first half of the Eighteenth century, when several studies about this kind of energy were conducted throughout Europe and the United States. Over the decades, the changes of electricity contributed to the development of science and technology, from physics to medicine, as well as to a revolution in industry, transport and everyday life. The study of its terminology, based on the observation of the most important terms and text genres, can contribute to a better understanding of such an important economic, institutional and social field.

Abstract
The history of the French vocabulary of electricity began in the first half of the Eighteenth century, when several studies about this kind of energy were conducted throughout Europe and the United States. Over the decades, the changes of electricity contributed to the development of science and technology, from physics to medicine, as well as to a revolution in industry, transport and everyday life. The study of its terminology, based on the observation of the most important terms and text genres, can contribute to a better understanding of such an important economic, institutional and social field.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
