Education is an intentional act: it is oriented at achieving meaningful goals and is based on choices that suppose a complex set of ends and values. The aim of this chapter is discussing whether a universal purpose of education is possible, across and beyond cultural and historical conditions. The idea is argumented here that from the phenomenological analysis of the ontological structure of the human person it is possible to derive a general understanding of what "good" education is or should be.

Abstract
Education is an intentional act: it is oriented at achieving meaningful goals and is based on choices that suppose a complex set of ends and values. The aim of this chapter is discussing whether a universal purpose of education is possible, across and beyond cultural and historical conditions. The idea is argumented here that from the phenomenological analysis of the ontological structure of the human person it is possible to derive a general understanding of what "good" education is or should be.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
