Sillabario medievale

Through the analysis of eleven key-words, the book tackles some of the most interesting and innovative issues of today's Italian and European medievalist panorama, moving with ease between the sources and the historiographical debate: environmental determinism, spatiality, dissent, the relationship between hierarchy and freedom, the relationship between sacred and profane, desire, the nexus between responsibility and individuality, the notion of charisma, the theory of "ordines", the concepts of reform - with particular regard to the 11th century -, Renaissance and Revolution. A basic book, but, at the same time, a living testimony of a peculiar historiographic vision, dialoguing with the social sciences; eager to deepen, through historical research, social and cultural frameworks concerning human history, without ever forgetting adherence to context.
