Abstract
In some rural areas of Italy, companies, municipalities, and individual communities have initiated paths to revitalize the local economy by focusing on collaborative networks for eco-friendly agriculture, and for the exchange of products and services with high environmental value. Such processes, in some cases, have led to the creation of "districts" that enhance the interaction between a wide range of activities and actors related to agriculture, and that promote responsible use of agri-environmental resources. The paper focuses on the experience of organic farming districts in Italy, analyzing their diffu sion and characteristic elements, and discussing the factors that make them instruments of reterritorialization and local sustainabilityI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
