In Italy, the figure of the educational specialist has recently found his legal definition within the professions of education in the socio-educational field (Law 205/2017). At the heart of the reflections of many scholars, this professionalism deals with the need to base its own peculiarity within the social panorama and the complexity underlying this work. Concerning that point, it is considered to be useful to draw attention to the issue of the educational specialist’s function identity and the specific professional skills to acquire in view of lifelong learning. Far from exhausting the topic here, we intend to encourage elements of reflection and open up further research areas on this topic

In Italia, la figura del pedagogista ha trovato recente definizione all'interno delle professioni educative in ambito socio-educativo (Legge 205/2017). Al centro delle riflessioni di molti studiosi, tale professionalità si misura con l'esigenza di fondare la propria specificità all'interno del panorama sociale e della complessità sottesa al lavoro sul campo. Al riguardo, si ritiene utile portare all'attenzione il tema dell’identità di funzione del pedagogista e delle competenze professionali specifiche da implementare nella prospettiva di una formazione permanente. Lungi dall'esaurire in questa sede la tematica, ci si propone di sollecitare elementi di riflessività e aprire ulteriori piste di ricerca sul tema.
