Abstract

Loneliness is a characterizing dimension of the human being become central in our age on account of a widespread crisis and existential unease reflected in fragile identities lacking a relationship with a “you” to refer to. Following the pandemic, loneliness has increased so much that it has outlined an “epidemic of loneliness” to investigate for understanding how to educate to face and elaborate this human dimension. From a hermeneutic pedagogical perspective, the author proposes an interpretation of the plural manifestations of loneliness as a metaphor for interiority, to help the person rework it within themselves.
