Music and listening have a powerful influence on emotions and imagination because of a deep connection between sound suggestions and the symbols of the unconscious. This essay explores the reasons of such influence of musical language on people, due to mimesis and synesthesia, and explains in which way music potential can be used for educational and therapeutical purposes.
