According to David Aaronovitch, the British writer Martin Amis (1949-) is “the most fully engaged writer of our age”. Whether this is true or not I cannot say. However, I wish to thank Amis at least because of its frequent (and not rarely cruel) inclination to release our literary esperience from solipsistic daydreaming by dealing with the facts of life.

Abstract

According to David Aaronovitch, the British writer Martin Amis (1949-) is “the most fully engaged writer of our age”. Whether this is true or not I cannot say. However, I wish to thank Amis at least because of its frequent (and not rarely cruel) inclination to release our literary esperience from solipsistic daydreaming by dealing with the facts of life.
