The article presents the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and efforts of reconciliation and peace through the lens of the "Parents Circle Families Forum", a joint Israeli-Palestinian nonprofit organisation of families, all of whom have lost an immediate family member to the ongoing conflict. The unique experience of the Parents Circle is analysed from the perspectives of both restorative justice and restorative diplomacy, which provides insightful reflections for a better understanding of ways to stop violence during ongoing conflictual situations. The article introduces two further texts, published in the same Journal, that collect the testimonies of two mothers, an Israeli (Robi Damelin) and a Palestinian (Layla Alsheikh), who are extremely active in the Parents Circle after having lost their sons.

Abstract
The article presents the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and efforts of reconciliation and peace through the lens of the "Parents Circle Families Forum", a joint Israeli-Palestinian nonprofit organisation of families, all of whom have lost an immediate family member to the ongoing conflict. The unique experience of the Parents Circle is analysed from the perspectives of both restorative justice and restorative diplomacy, which provides insightful reflections for a better understanding of ways to stop violence during ongoing conflictual situations. The article introduces two further texts, published in the same Journal, that collect the testimonies of two mothers, an Israeli (Robi Damelin) and a Palestinian (Layla Alsheikh), who are extremely active in the Parents Circle after having lost their sons.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
