Maurizio Festanti’s discovery of what is only the second known copy of an incunable edition now in the USA has given rise to a series of interlinked bibliographical identifications: a group of 15th-century Processionali in the Holy Land containing indulgences and prayers, two extremely rare incunable editions of the Processionale of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, and the identification of what a 16th-century Processionale, also very rare. All these editions provide valuable evidence, which still needs to be fully assessed, towards the study of liturgical ceremony and pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

Abstract
Maurizio Festanti’s discovery of what is only the second known copy of an incunable edition now in the USA has given rise to a series of interlinked bibliographical identifications: a group of 15th-century Processionali in the Holy Land containing indulgences and prayers, two extremely rare incunable editions of the Processionale of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, and the identification of what a 16th-century Processionale, also very rare. All these editions provide valuable evidence, which still needs to be fully assessed, towards the study of liturgical ceremony and pilgrimage in the Holy Land.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
