A combined approach to get chemical information from liquid samples through the analysis of the solution and its headspace is illustrated and commented. Sensors operating in liquid (electronic tongue) and in the headspace (electronic nose) are based on the same sensitive materials: the metalloporphyrins. The combined system has been tested in different experiments in the field of food analysis; in particular an experiment performance on milk is presented. Results have shown an increase of information when the combined systems are used.

Abstract
A combined approach to get chemical information from liquid samples through the analysis of the solution and its headspace is illustrated and commented. Sensors operating in liquid (electronic tongue) and in the headspace (electronic nose) are based on the same sensitive materials: the metalloporphyrins. The combined system has been tested in different experiments in the field of food analysis; in particular an experiment performance on milk is presented. Results have shown an increase of information when the combined systems are used.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
