Irrazionalità del desiderio? Spunti a partire dal confronto Kant-Ricoeur

Kantian morality is considered a kind of ethics that rejects desire. Paul Ricoeur, in a (philosophical) debate with Kant’s works, on the contrary, supported the possibility of an integration between rationality and desire. The article intends to call into question the irrationality of desire as It states the importance of integrating it into rationality. It suggests, first of all, an analysis of Kant’s works thus to consider how deeply the German philosopher, beyond all simplifications, deals with the theme of desire. Secondly, the article in question dwells on the interpretation of Kant given by Ricoeur. Finally, it suggests some of his thoughts, highlighting the relevance of the synergy between desire and rationality, which opens important questions with regard to knowledge, feelings and ethical acts.

La morale kantiana è considerata una morale che rifiuta il desiderio. Paul Ricoeur, confrontandosi con le opere di Kant, ha invece sostenuto l’integrazione tra razionalità e desiderio. L’articolo intende mettere in questione l’irrazionalità del desiderio e affermare l’importanza dell’integrazione del desiderio nella razionalità. Per questo propone in primo luogo un’analisi del testo kantiano per vedere come effettivamente, al di là delle semplificazioni, il filosofo tedesco ha approcciato il tema del desiderio. In seguito si sofferma sulla lettura che di Kant ha avanzato Ricoeur. Infine suggerisce alcune considerazioni sottolineando il valore della sinergia tra desiderio e razionalità che apre questioni importanti in merito al conoscere, al sentire all’agire etico.
