C’è ragione senza speranza? Ricoeur interprete di Kant

What am I permitted to hope? Taking the Kantian question as a point of departure, the article tries to illustrate the role of hope in Kant’s thought, with special attention to Religion within boundaries of the mere reason and to its connections with Critique of the power of Judgement. Secondly the article focuses the role of hope in Ricoeur’s thought and his interpretation of Kant and of the role of imagination. Finally it tries to make interact the two authors. Hope is the overabundant and meaningfull presupposition that originates creativity of imagination and produces not only analogical representations, but also aesthetic and mithical-poetic ideas that, overcoming the boundaries of the concept, give to think more and more. Only a hopefull thought can stimulate reason not to surrender to non-sense and to run the risk of rational thought.

Cosa è lecito sperare? Partendo dalla domanda kantiana l’articolo cerca di ricostruire il ruolo della speranza in Kant con particolare attenzione all’opera La religione nei limiti della sola ragione e ai suoi nessi con la Critica del Giudizio. Successivamente si esamina il ruolo della speranza in Ricoeur e alla sua interpretazione del pensiero di Kant e al ruolo dell’immaginazione. In conclusione si cerca di fare interagire i due autori. La speranza è il presupposto sovrabbondante di senso che origina la creatività dell’immaginazione e produce non solo rappresentazioni analogiche, ma anche idee estetiche mito-poetiche che, superando le strettoie del concetto, danno a pensare sempre di più. Solo un pensiero intriso di speranza può quindi spingere la ragione a non arrendersi al non-senso e a correre il rischio di pensare razionalmente.
