The paper focuses upon the 27 Greek manuscripts belonged to Pietro da Montagnana and evaluates their forms, contents, origins. It highlights two subgroups: six manuscripts written in Padua around 1460-’75 by an anonymous Cretan scribe, seven copied or annotated by John Argyropoulos (also several Latin manuscripts in Montagnana’s library have his notes). Appendix dwells on the authorship of a bilingual lexicon copied by the Cretan scribe, and brings it back to a humanistic (Veneto?) version of the Lexicon Cyrilli
