Cenni sulla dottrina della tolleranza in Sebastiano Castellion

A fondamento della sua dottrina della tolleranza religiosa vi è la convinzione che l’uomo sia stato creato libero da Dio e dunque nessuno può essere perseguitato o ucciso per la sua fede. Il criterio invocato è quello della carità che sola può ricomporre le dispute e instaurare la pace tra gli uomini.
