We study the adjective incontournable in texts dedicated to tourism promotion, with the specific meaning of "experience not to be missed". We analyzed the occurrences of "incontournable" in the websites of Tourism Office by some major French towns. We also analyze the use of "incontournable" in some comments in French (original language) posted on TripAdvisor. Finally, we looked for the occourrences of the lexeme in the French page of websites of Italian touristic destinations, and compared them with the pages witten by French operators. Very interesting linguistic and argumentative outcomes.
