Campus Copyr was created to promote the authoritative dissemination of knowledge and facilitate relationships among PCOs, professional entomologists and users requiring disinfestation services. Campus Copyr is conveyed via the web through the platform www.copyrpco.it which is organized into three specific areas: 1) Insights: dealing with specific and emerging topics related to the world of pests; 2) Pest Library: a collection of scientific cards on pests; 3) Online Entomologist: an exclusive service which enables PCOs to consult with highly qualified entomologists. Abstract

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AS A STRATEGY FOR THE DIFFUSION OF AWARENESS AND APPLICATION OF PEST MANAGEMENT PROTOCOLS Insects form the largest animal group on the planet, are in continuous evolution and have innumerable specificities. PCOs, Pest Control Operators who intervene daily to control infestations by insects and other animals, need to acquire and maintain professional knowledge and skills to provide adequate solutions in compliance with the law, respect for the environment and clients’ needs, be they private individuals, industries, "ho.re.ca." (hotel-restaurant-catering), or public bodies. Today, PCOs and users find themselves in a highly competitive arena, which is in continuous transformation and highly technological: the digital transformation, by means of the internet, has transformed previous ways of communicating, being able to connect users worldwide, to transfer news and information or to allow sales of products and services, very rapidly. This new channel has a high potential for development and represents a great resource and opportunity for all those who use it, if it is managed correctly. Campus Copyr is a project resulting from collaboration between Copyr S.p.A. (a long-standing chemical company of reference in the field of disinfestation) and the Di.Pro.Ve.S. of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Piacenza, with the aim of illustrating and disseminating throughout the market (private individuals, companies, institutions) disinfestation issues and services provided by PCOs, raising awareness of the issues themselves, and rendering information and knowledge concerning pests and treatment protocols available to PCOs reliable and certified. All the contents of the www.copyrpco.it platform are provided in collaboration with Di.Pro.Ve.S. of the Università Cattolica.
