We report the predictive role of bronchial hyperreactivity on 10-yr decline of FEV1 in 351 workers exposed to travertine dust studied in 1985 and 1995. The most important finding was that this relationship was independent from the level of baseline airway obstruction.

Abstract

We report the predictive role of bronchial hyperreactivity on 10-yr decline of FEV1 in 351 workers exposed to travertine dust studied in 1985 and 1995. The most important finding was that this relationship was independent from the level of baseline airway obstruction.
