Abstract
This volume addresses the issue of aging and the elderly provided by a theoretical / conceptual clinical-social, which is also the framework within which to read the contributions of empirical research and application of reflection, is very different from a methodological point , is analyzed for themes. The basic element of this perspective is the relational view of the aging process, namely the need to consider the position of the elderly together with the whole family and social relations in which he is inserted. It is an approach to "psychological and social" in the strong sense, that is still the symbolic-relational model developed in recent years by Eugenia Scabini and Vittorio Cigoli. In this sense, the last phase of life is then to set up more like a long and complex period in which dilate both the time being and the possible "good health", is the decay time being. Furthermore, as regards the functioning family, this phase of the existence is characterized by a growing differentiation of developmental pathways. The multiplicity of critical events of the evolutionary transitions that engage different generations may in fact be combined in various time sequences, thus leading to very different profiles.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
