The Clinical Interview Generational was developed from the need to have a versatile tool for the evaluation of family generativity, can be used in a broad perspective and research, both in perspective and intensive intervention. In this chapter we want to illustrate a possible intensive use of the instrument, verifying its effectiveness in achieving a thorough study of a single case. For this purpose, with the help of some colleagues with whom he has been running for a fruitful exchange time and participation in joint research projects, it was possible to obtain the availability of a couple who had been given other survey instruments, including, in particular, the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) and the Current Relationship Interview (CRI). This has been a particularly interesting and valuable because it may make a further study of the technical characteristics of the ICG, by comparing, in fact intensive application, with other structurally similar to it. The comparison was concentrated, in particular, between the ICG and the CRI. This choice has seemed in some ways obvious and natural, since the Current Relationship Interview is not only one of the important instruments in the psychosocial and clinical research on the relationship of the couple, but has many similar characteristics with the ICG, both from a structural point of view, both in terms of themes and contents taken into account.
