The research that we illustrate in this paper fits into the trend of research on the process of family mediation, as evidenced by the summary review of the literature, provides a framework for empirical analysis to date largely unexplored, especially in Italy. It is an evaluation research in the sense that intends to verify if: 1. family mediation can achieve the proposed results to obtain; 2. what are the structural and contextual aspects of the mediation process correlated with the outcomes of the same; 3. what are the predictors that may reasonably lead to a successful mediation. From the methodological point of view the collection of information was achieved through the use of a questionnaire and compiled by the brokers themselves. The application of this instrument can be undoubtedly considered methodologically "soft", especially considering the fact that the mediators can not give an impartial assessment of their work: however, we tried to collect very precise clues to what actually happens in mediation meetings , limiting as much as possible the subjective aspects to the description of which can not be separated from one form of personal judgment (eg the level of conflict the couple at the beginning of the mediation).

Abstract
The application of this instrument can be undoubtedly considered methodologically "soft", especially considering the fact that the mediators can not give an impartial assessment of their work: however, we tried to collect very precise clues to what actually happens in mediation meetings , limiting as much as possible the subjective aspects to the description of which can not be separated from one form of personal judgment (eg the level of conflict the couple at the beginning of the mediation).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
