Artificial intelligence receives numerous applications in healthcare settings: e.g., diagnostic robots, surgical robots, robotic-nurses or rehabilitation robotics. This paper focuses on the issue of crimi- nal liability for adverse events caused using these new tools. It also analyzes possible effects of this technology on the relationship between doctor and patient, based on mutual trust (cfr. art.1, comma 2, l. n. 219/2017).
