Aimeric de Pegulhan, "Hom ditz que gaugz non es senes amor" (BEdT 10.29): problemi attributivi e nuova edizione

The text of "Hom ditz que gaugz non es senes amor" by Aimeric de Pegulhan is preserved in five manuscripts: CRTOc. The attribution to the troubadour of Toulouse is only by CR, while T and c attribute the song to Arnaut de Maruelh; in O the composition, which lacks the first eleven verses, is merged with Si com l’arbres, que per sobracargar by Aimeric himself, and does not have an explicit attribution. The article investigates the problem of the authorship of the text, concluding that "Hom ditz" is probably, but not definitely, by Aimeric. A new critical edition of the text with the Italian translation and commentary follows.

L’attribuzione al trovatore di Tolosa è dei soli CR, mentre T e c danno la canzone a Arnaut de Maruelh; in O il componimento, che manca dei primi undici versi, risulta fuso con Si com l’arbres, que per sobracargar dello stesso Aimeric, e non ha un’attribuzione esplicita. L’articolo indaga proprio il problema di paternità del testo, giungendo alla conclusione che "Hom ditz" è probabilmente, ma non sicuramente, di Aimeric.
