Recapitulating the contributions around "Political Proust" gathered in this thematic issue, in this concluding article we highlight the importance of reading and having Proust read nowadaways: reading "A la Recherche du temps perdu", in fact, means preferring complexity, ambiguity, "chiaroscuro" against false simplifications and simplisms. Reading Proust would therefore be akin to a political gesture.
