Conceiving education as a global common good implies a renewed form of cooperation among political institutions involved in education policy formulation and practice at the global level, which should promote participation of all peoples in a diverse and differentiated, yet solidaristic and collaborative, world society. The educational alliance advocated by Pope Francis represents the possibility of deploying such new model of cooperation between countries and peoples of the world in order to initiate processes of transformation and to build a universal – at the same time personal – village where to educate the current and next generations to a new humanism, where to educate the future of our societies.

Abstract
Conceiving education as a global common good implies a renewed form of cooperation among political institutions involved in education policy formulation and practice at the global level, which should promote participation of all peoples in a diverse and differentiated, yet solidaristic and collaborative, world society. The educational alliance advocated by Pope Francis represents the possibility of deploying such new model of cooperation between countries and peoples of the world in order to initiate processes of transformation and to build a universal – at the same time personal – village where to educate the current and next generations to a new humanism, where to educate the future of our societies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
