Adozione e diritto del minore alla famiglia: un’occasione di riprogettazione esistenziale

Adoption is a measure aimed at ensuring a family for each child in a state of adoptability, following an abandonment or a removal from the family of origin. On the basis of these premises, there are elements of interest for the educational reflection on the correlation between the children’s rights and the instances of the adults involved. On the one hand, it is attested to the main protection of the child who has early unfavourable experiences, and his need for existential redesign, moving from the principle of the best interests of the child. On the other hand, there is an urgent need to accompany adults in two-pronged perspective: to provide an adequate training for would-be adoptive parents, so that they understand the thorough meanings of adoption and they prepare themselves for the child’s unconditional acceptance; to support preparation of social workers, judges and other professionals who, in various way, are involved in the adoption field and in the children’s protection.

L’adozione è una misura volta a garantire una famiglia per ogni minore in stato di adottabilità, in seguito ad un abbandono o ad un allontanamento dalla famiglia di origine. Sulla scorta di tali premesse, si profilano elementi di interesse per la riflessione pedagogica sulla correlazione tra diritti dei minori e istanze degli adulti coinvolti. Da un lato, si attesta la centralità del minore che ha vissuto esperienze sfavorevoli precoci, e il suo bisogno di occasioni di riprogettazione esistenziale, muovendo dal principio dei best interests of the child. Dall’altro lato, si rileva l’urgenza di accompagnare gli adulti in una duplice prospettiva: offrire un’adeguata formazione agli aspiranti genitori adottivi, affinché comprendano i significati profondi dell’adozione e si predispongano all’accoglienza incondizionata del figlio; sostenere la preparazione professionale degli operatori che, a vario titolo, sono coinvolti nel campo adottivo e nella tutela dei minori.
