Resilience is considered to be the ability to “repair oneself” after a trauma or a series of traumas, positively reorganizing life, despite the pres- ence of problematic situations that would reasonably imply a negative outcome. Migration is considered one of most important risk factors for children and the consequences on them are sometimes severe. After drawing a theoretical framework of the concept, the paper focuses on the processes of developing resilience, in front of situations marked by significant risk factors, such as migration during childhood. Risk factors is an undertaking that many researchers have engaged in, and which has resulted in different classifications according to their poten- tial harmfulness and their possible interactions.
