Abstract

In his "Syntaxe arabe" Pierre Larcher complements his thorough study of the Arabic verb, published in 2003. By joining the Classical Arabic linguistic tradition with modern linguistics, especially Charles Bally's enunciation linguistics, he succeeds in giving an effective account of Classical Arabic syntax, from the minimal clause to the complex periods, whilke taking into account also its diacronic dimension.
