The advent of web 2.0 has facilitated the appearance of dictionaries that brign together metalinguistic knowledge of non professional lexicographers. In this paper, we provide a metalexicographical analysis of dictionaries which propose to web users to collect or invent neologisms. We will analyse both text and paratext, in order to find out those elements of innovation, which could facilitate the creation of neologisms (contributors’ status and expertise, temporary interruption of code’s rules), as well as the functions of these neologisms.

Abstract
The advent of web 2.0 has facilitated the appearance of dictionaries that brign together metalinguistic knowledge of non professional lexicographers. In this paper, we provide a metalexicographical analysis of dictionaries which propose to web users to collect or invent neologisms. We will analyse both text and paratext, in order to find out those elements of innovation, which could facilitate the creation of neologisms (contributors’ status and expertise, temporary interruption of code’s rules), as well as the functions of these neologisms.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
