Media education training for educational professional roles seems to find in Italy very limited spaces within higher education curricula and it is left to the sensitivity of individuals. In order to increase the opportunities to reflect on media education and to widen the awareness-raising target to all adults, the research center CREMIT, based at Catholic University, has developed 4 MOOCs: "Virtually"(2153 users); "Spectrum of Cyberbullying behaviors" (5385 users); "Peer & media education" (1730 users); "3-6-9-12: growing up with digital screens" (1520 users). The four different MOOCs form together a complete path in media education, not only for the topics discussed but also for the design choices that have oriented the production of the MOOCs as a learning path. The quantitative-qualitative monitoring system on these course (initial questionnaire, final questionnaire, tracking analysis, interviews and focus groups) allowed us to collect data confirming the importance and incisiveness of some choices to make the idea strong and practical (46, 8% is the average of those completing the training course).
