The volume deals with the development of relations between Italy and Africa in the postcolonial age through five knots, which seem to summarize the growing confrontation with African decolonization, but which can open up new research perspectives in the historiographic field. The anomaly of the Italian decolonization, the experience of AFIS, the involvement in the Congolese independence and the events of the South African apartheid, and then the intervention of new "movementist" actors and politicians of different orientations, intend to be a basis starting point for an investigation of the multiple relationships and interconnections. This is a wide-ranging action, which materialized on the diplomatic level, but also on the cultural, political and religious level, on the basis of a new political and cultural sensitivity towards the African continent. In this way, an innovative contribution is offered that opens up new research paths in the field of contemporary historiography.

Abstract
In this way, an innovative contribution is offered that opens up new research paths in the field of contemporary historiography.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
