The article discusses the widespread view that the lexicon of fashion is inconsistent and subject to neologisms and borrowings. The analysis of the neological borrowings of fashion allows to deepen its motivation in contemporary digital communication. The observation of the different distribution of neology between production and commercialization offers a new perspective to face the study of the lexicon of fashion and its neological productivity.
L'articolo discute l'idea diffusa che il lessico della moda sia incoerente e soggetto a input e prestiti neologici. L'analisi del prestito neologico in questo settore aiuta ad approfondire la sua motivazione nella comunicazione digitale contemporanea. L'osservazione della diversa distribuzione della neologia tra produzione e marketing offre una nuova prospettiva per studiare il lessico della moda e la sua produttività neologica.
