The analysis of the processes of ecological gentrification, ecogentrification or green gentrification seems to be featuring increasingly frequently in International literature and in particular in North American publications. In Europe and in Italy research on the topic are, however, still scarce. The present study sets out to illustrate the outcome of research carried out in the town of Brescia, in northern Italy, and to assess whether the redevelopment of seven urban parks has led to ecogentrification and the removal of the economically most disadvantaged social strata of the population.

Abstract
The analysis of the processes of ecological gentrification, ecogentrification or green gentrification seems to be featuring increasingly frequently in International literature and in particular in North American publications. In Europe and in Italy research on the topic are, however, still scarce. The present study sets out to illustrate the outcome of research carried out in the town of Brescia, in northern Italy, and to assess whether the redevelopment of seven urban parks has led to ecogentrification and the removal of the economically most disadvantaged social strata of the population.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
