The aim of this essay is to reflect on the concept of good, whose notion, despite its importance not only in philosophy but also in various other fields, is not easy to define. In what follows, the good is firstly described as a lovable, admirable, and desirable entity. Then the essay proposes a differentiation between good and evil in both the ontological and the moral sense, also addressing the relationship between the ontological goods and good or evil acts. Finally, it is argued that some acts are always evil but no acts are always good.
