In Italy, the study of Resistance during the Second World War often suffered from an Italo-centric approach, which tended to disconnect the dynamics of the local movement from international relations. The new Italian historiography has challenged that. In a pertinent two-volumes research based mostly on British documentary sources, Mireno Berrettini, an emerging Italian scholar, rejects the Italo-centric approach in favour of a broader reflection that takes into account both the local contribution to the anti-Fascist struggle and external influences, particularly the British, in the Italian conflict fought between 1943 and 1945.

Abstract
In Italy, the study of Resistance during the Second World War often suffered from an Italo-centric approach, which tended to disconnect the dynamics of the local movement from international relations. The new Italian historiography has challenged that. In a pertinent two-volumes research based mostly on British documentary sources, Mireno Berrettini, an emerging Italian scholar, rejects the Italo-centric approach in favour of a broader reflection that takes into account both the local contribution to the anti-Fascist struggle and external influences, particularly the British, in the Italian conflict fought between 1943 and 1945.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
